The Late White Rabbit

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date!

Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!

Don’t stop, don’t stop, no time to wait.

My watch is slow, my whiskers shake!

The clock is ticking.

No time for dillydallying.

It needs to start running.

Or rather start hopping.

Unintentionally bringing a girl.

To a world of tumble and twirl.

Left her behind to swirl.

To be lost in Wonderland to hurl.

It won’t sit for a cup of tea.

As it doesn’t have time to party.

There is no time for debauchery.

Time for me to go, Mon chéri.

I’m here! I’m here! With time to spare.

There’s time for rest and breath some air.

I’m here, I’m here, before I was there.

The clock was broken; I wasn’t aware.

I’m still late. This isn’t fair.
