Disaster comes once in every year.
Heavy rain and deadly winds appear.
Hunting for sacrifices for it to take.
From deep slumber, a dragon awakes.
Disappearance of the moon is only the beginning.
It swims the cloudy sky, preying on the living.
With the storm and a flash of light, you will hear its roar.
Would you dare challenge the Bakunawa as it soars.
Endless rain to drown humanity.
The rise of water ends in calamity.
Life will be destroyed by the flood.
It will never stop until there is blood.
Thrashing its tail sends tremors through the ground.
With great magnitudes, everything shakes all around.
To bring down those on a level to fall and drown.
Everything will go down, whether it’s a city or a town.
Once the dragon gets it fill.
That is when it’s done to kill.
It will suddenly disappear.
For it to appear again, next year.
